Job summary

Fooda seeks a part-time Event Coordinator in New Jersey to support onsite food events for our network of restaurants. You will assist with setup, tear down, and site cleanliness while delivering excellent customer service and solving issues in real time.

You’ll gain competency with Fooda’s technology, follow standard procedures, and coordinate with the Operations team to ensure high-quality experiences. Flexible, part-time hours through the week.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or events is preferred.
• Strong customer-facing skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable using technology and learning standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support Fooda events onsite and assist with setup, teardown, and site cleanliness.
• Maintain high quality customer experience and solve issues in real time.
• Learn and follow Fooda’s technology and operating procedures.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service and resolve issues with consumers.
• Audit restaurant event setup for consistency and quality.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager as needed.
• On-site Schedule: Monday through Friday 9AM-2PM.

Fooda is currently recruiting for a part time Event Coordinator in our New Jersey market. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• On-site Schedule: Monday through Friday 9AM-2PM

• You are savvy with technology and will be comfortable in a fast-paced start-up
• You are resourceful, exhibit grace under pressure, and know you’re capable of finding solutions
• You are a strong communicator and self-starter
• You are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!
• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (between 20-25hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
