Fooda is seeking a part-time Event Support Specialist to be on site in Hayward, CA, assisting with setup, teardown, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience during lunch hours. You will gain fluency with Fooda's technology and procedures, resolving issues with orders, deliveries, or restaurant timing in real time.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, tech-savviness, and excellent communication in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including onsite setup, tear down, cleaning equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality setup and customer experience.
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures.
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards.
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer.
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve.

Nearby options were limited, and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. What You’ll Be Doing

• Critical hours are over lunch we have positions availableMonday - Friday(10 am – 2 pm)but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
