Fooda is hiring for a part-time Events Assistant in Sunnyvale, CA. You will support Fooda events onsite, assist with setup and teardown, and ensure a high-quality customer experience during lunch hours. The role emphasizes customer service, fast-paced problem solving, and basic tech troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates have catering or serving experience, enjoy fast-paced environments, and can work 5–25 hours per week with flexible daytime hours.

Responsabilidades

• Assist at Fooda events onsite, including setup and teardown and maintaining clean areas.
• Learn Fooda’s technology and standard operating procedures.
• Resolve issues such as incorrect orders or late deliveries and miscommunications.
• Troubleshoot POS systems, onsite technology, and TV menu boards.
• Conduct onsite promotions and coaching for the Fooda mobile app.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly.
• Audit restaurant event setups for consistency and quality; escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager for problem solving.

Requirements:

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch we have positions available Monday - Friday (10 am - 2 pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You are a strong communicator and self-starter
• You are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!
• You're someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You're looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
