Job summary

Fooda is hiring for part-time event support roles to help operate rotating popup restaurants at office locations. You will be onsite to set up and tear down, manage equipment, and ensure a high-quality customer experience during lunch hours.

Ideal candidates are customer-oriented, energetic, tech-savvy, and capable of navigating a fast-paced startup environment. Prior catering or serving experience is preferred, with flexible weekend hours and local travel.

Responsibilities

• Be onsite to set up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, and ensure high quality setup and customer experience.
• Troubleshoot issues with orders, deliveries, and communications.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service and resolve problems directly with the consumer.
• Support promotional activities and app coaching during events.
• Escalate issues to the Operations Manager when needed.

Who We Are:

Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited,and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food. It was an immediate hit. When they discovered people from other companies sneaking into their office, they knew they were on to something. Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices. Today, we operate in 60 cities with over 100 million meals served and continue to grow rapidly. Powered by technology and a network of 1500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and more. What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch we have 2 positions availableMonday - Saturday (10 am – 2 pm)but responsibilities and hours may vary.

• You are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!
• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
