Job summary

Fooda is seeking an energetic part-time team member to support onsite events, assist with setup and teardown, and help ensure a smooth guest experience. You will also assist as a backup cashier and may handle delivery of equipment and food to sites.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, tech‑savvy, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced start-up environment. A valid car and knowledge of the local area are preferred, with a flexible, roughly 20–25 hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or serving strongly preferred.
• Own reliable vehicle and familiarity with local area.
• Part-time schedule: 5–25 hours per week; usually 10am–2pm or similar.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas onsite.
• Back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés during team time off.
• Deliver equipment and food to Fooda sites as needed.
• Troubleshoot POS and onsite technology issues.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues.

Who We Are:

Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited,and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food. It was an immediate hit. When they discovered people from other companies sneaking into their office, they knew they were on to something. Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices. Today, we operate in 60 cities with over 100 million meals served and continue to grow rapidly. Powered by technology and a network of 1500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centres, and more. What You'll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: 1.) being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience, 2.) serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who have time off, and 3.) driver responsibilities, delivering equipment and food to Fooda sites.
• Gain competency with Fooda's technology and standard operating procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch (10 am - 2 pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You're someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You're looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Monday - Friday 10am - 2pm
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
