Job summary

Modern Catering seeks an Event Chef to lead culinary execution at catered events across Colorado's Front Range. You will ensure that all food is prepared, presented, and served to the company’s standards while coordinating with the culinary team, event managers, and service staff to deliver memorable experiences for weddings, corporate functions, nonprofit galas, and social events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional culinary experience (banquets, catering, or high-volume kitchens preferred).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise cooks, prep staff, and kitchen assistants during events.
• Coordinate event setup and ensure smooth production and service workflows.
• Prepare and cook menu items per approved recipes and event specs.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, temperature, and timing meet standards.
• Collaborate with Event Coordinators and Front-of-House staff for seamless events.
