Modern Catering in Colorado is seeking an experienced Catering Operations Manager to lead the operational execution of events. This role oversees staffing, logistics, inventory, and service standards to ensure flawless experiences for clients and their guests.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in catering, hospitality, or event operations management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational planning and execution for all catered events.
  • Coordinate event logistics including staffing, equipment, rentals, transportation, and timelines.
  • Ensure proper event setup, service execution, and breakdown procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of food presentation, service, and guest experience.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage service staff, event managers and event coordinators.
  • Lead pre-event briefings and ensure staff are prepared for service expectations.
  • Provide leadership and support during events to ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a positive and professional team culture.
  • Attend on-site events as needed.
  • Manage inventory of catering equipment, service ware, and event supplies.
  • Coordinate rental orders and vendor partnerships.
  • Ensure vehicles, equipment, and materials are properly prepared for each event.
  • Monitor labor and operational costs for events.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure events are executed within budget while maintaining quality standards.
  • Work closely with the sales team, chefs, and event coordinators to ensure accurate event execution.
  • Serve as a key operational contact for vendors, venues, and partners.
  • Address operational issues quickly and professionally to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Catering Operations Manager to lead the operational execution of our events. This role oversees staffing, logistics, inventory, and service standards to ensure every event is executed flawlessly.

Position Overview

The Catering Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day catering operations and ensuring that all events are executed efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with Modern Catering's standards of excellence. This position works closely with the culinary, sales, and event teams to coordinate staffing, logistics, and event production.

Key Responsibilities
Event Operations
  • Oversee operational planning and execution for all catered events.
  • Coordinate event logistics including staffing, equipment, rentals, transportation, and timelines.
