Job summary

JDCUSTOMCATERING LLC is seeking an experienced Event Chef to lead culinary operations for high-volume events. You will review BEOs, direct kitchen staff, plan production and plating, and ensure safety and quality across all service functions.

You will coordinate with Executive/Sous Chefs and event captains, manage multiple functions, and train staff on menu execution while maintaining the highest culinary standards.

Qualifications

• Five years in a high-volume event environment.
• Experience leading a large culinary team.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Review banquet event orders and plan with the kitchen staff.
• Supervise cooks and event staff during food preparation and service.
• Coordinate production, plating, and timing with chefs and event captain.
• Allocate tasks, ensure safety, and monitor inventory and equipment.
• Maintain quality, hygiene, and adherence to recipes and standards.
• Train staff on menu items, preparation methods, and flavors.
