Job summary

Gettysburg College’s Dining Center is seeking Catering Staff to work on a casual, on-call basis throughout the campus, serving for various college events and conferences. Positions require flexibility, with more hours during the academic year and sporadically in summer.

Candidates will handle setting up serving lines, safe food handling, and customer service for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors. No benefits are offered for these positions, and a professional appearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand simple instructions.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with guests and co-workers.
• Work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible work schedules including nights and weekends are required.
• Valid driver’s license is recommended with a favorable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare serving line and handle food safely.
• Serve customers at college events and private functions.
• Assist with setup and break-down for events on and off campus.
