Job summary

Scripps College is seeking a Catering Staff member to assist with event setups, serve food, and help maintain catering supplies. The role requires light physical work, adherence to HAACP guidelines, and safe operation of catering equipment.

Regular hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00 am–6:30 pm, with potential overtime for events. The position offers full-time status, on-site duties, and the opportunity to support college events with a team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe working methods and HAACP guidelines.
• Ability to load, transport and set up catering materials.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift boxes up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with table set-ups for events, including china, glassware, linen and décor.
• Serve and remove plates and utensils as directed.
• Clean up after events and manage waste and dishes.
• Inventory catering supplies and assist with equipment sanitation.
• Support kitchen tasks as needed and participate in training sessions.
