Job summary

JEFFREY A. MILLER HOSPITALITY is seeking part-time bartenders to work at weddings and events across the Greater Philadelphia area. Seasonal opportunities with flexible weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include setting up bar stations, recording inventory, serving cocktails and wine, and attending to guests’ needs. Shifts typically run 8–12 hours, with events on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from April to November.

Qualifications

• Prior bartending experience or training is required.
• Knowledge of common cocktail recipes; current RAMP certification; able to serve a large volume of guests (100+).
• Ability to drive to venues in the Greater Philadelphia area including Delco county.
• Physical ability to lift 20 lbs and stand for a typical 9-hour shift with breaks.

• Serving guests alcohol and mixed drinks during cocktail hour and reception.
• Providing wine service and attending to guests' needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Prior bartending experience or training is required. You should be knowledgeable of common cocktail recipes, have a current RAMP certification, and be able to serve a large volume of guests (100+).
• You should be able to drive yourself to our venues in the Greater Philadelphia area including Delco county.
• Physical requirements include being able to lift 20 lbs and be on your feet for the duration of an average 9-hour shift (there will be breaks and time for staff to eat).

Responsibilities & Duties

• Setting up your own bar stations and recording alcohol inventory.
• Serving guests alcohol and mixed drinks during cocktail hour and reception.
• Providing wine service, hospitality, and attending to guests' needs as they arise.
• Clean and breakdown of your stations after the event.

Schedule Expectations

• The wedding season runs from April to November.
• There are events every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• A typical wedding shift runs from early afternoon to midnight and lasts between 8 to 12 hours.

The typical shift is $150 - $250. Although its not guaranteed, you'll often receive cash tips from guests at the bar and from the client at the end of a shift.
