Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a Banquet Server to provide food and beverage service during hotel-hosted events, including weddings, conferences, and corporate meetings. You will ensure guests receive attentive service while maintaining banquet standards and cleanliness throughout each event.

The role requires prior banquet or serving experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet or restaurant serving experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Set up banquet rooms and tables according to banquet event orders (BEOs).
• Serve food and beverages during events in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Clear tables, remove service items, and reset rooms as needed throughout the event.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all service areas.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of buffets, food stations, and bar areas.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and banquet team for smooth service flow.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure proper handling of all hotel equipment and report any maintenance issues.
• Respond to guest needs and requests promptly and professionally.
• Work collaboratively with the Banquet Captain and other servers to execute event plans.
