Job summary

Sodexo at University of Cincinnati Main Campus is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to provide on-site leadership for banquet and catered event operations, overseeing Banquet Captains and Banquet Servers to ensure events comply with BEOs and client expectations.

The role covers staffing oversight, service execution, and issue resolution across events from small meetings to large functions, with setup, service, breakdown, and post-event cleanup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of banquet, catering, or food and beverage service experience.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in banquet or event operations required.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Working knowledge of POS systems and event service processes.
• TIPS or TEAM alcohol training or equivalent.
• Food handler certification may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall supervision and coordination of banquet and catered event operations.
• Oversee Banquet Captains and Banquet Servers to ensure events follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and client expectations.
• Responsible for operational readiness, staffing oversight, service execution, and issue resolution during events.
• Support preparation, setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup while maintaining safety, sanitation, and guest satisfaction.
• Duties may vary by account based on business needs and client requirements.
