Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Banquet Porter to lead on-floor service during banquets and catered events. You will coordinate service, direct servers and porters, and ensure adherence to BEOs and timelines with a guest-focused approach.

Responsibilities include training staff, upholding food safety policies, and supporting the culinary and service teams to execute events smoothly. Part-time schedule with varying shifts and open availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–3 years of banquet, catering, or food and beverage service experience.
• Prior lead or captain experience in a banquet or event environment preferred.
• Must maintain a valid alcohol-service certification (TIPS/TEAM or equivalent) and comply with state requirements.
• A food handler certification may be required by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-floor leadership during banquet and catered events.
• Coordinate service execution and direct Banquet Servers and Banquet Porters.
• Ensure service is delivered according to BEOs, timelines, and standards.
• Assist with training and onboarding of service staff.
