Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Banquet Supervisor for on-site leadership at the Miami Beach Convention Center. You will supervise banquet staff and ensure events run smoothly according to BEOs, service standards, and client expectations.

The role covers event preparation through breakdown, with emphasis on safety, sanitation, and guest satisfaction, across small to large functions. Requires 2–4 years in banquet-related roles and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of banquet, catering, or food and beverage service experience.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in banquet or event operations required.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol based on local and state regulations.
• Working knowledge of POS systems and event service processes.
• TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or TEAM alcohol training or equivalent.
• Food handler certification may be required based on location.

Responsibilities

• Monitor event setup, service execution, and breakdown to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
• Oversee Banquet Captains and Banquet Servers to ensure events follow BEOs and standards.
• Provide on-site leadership and resolve issues during events.
• Support preparation, setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.
• Staffing oversight and coordination across accounts with varying requirements.
