Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor at the University of Cincinnati Athletics location to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring service consistency and adherence to standards. You will lead on-floor staff and collaborate with management to support dining services in a fixed-location environment.

The role emphasizes staff supervision, guest satisfaction, and compliance with food safety and alcohol service requirements, with shifts in the afternoon/evenings and a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in restaurant or food and beverage operations
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Must meet minimum age requirements to supervise alcohol service
• Must maintain a valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
• A food handler certification may be required based on state or local regulations

Responsibilities

• Provide on-floor supervision of restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including readiness of dining and service areas.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to review service expectations, menu updates, and assignments.
• Support training and onboarding of restaurant staff.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
