Job summary

IU Health Bloomington Hospital is seeking a PRN food service teammate for evening and weekend shifts. You will prepare, plate, serve, and transport meals while ensuring timely, courteous service to patients and visitors.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation and infection control, operating food service equipment, and handling related computer systems. Physical tasks include standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs with appropriate protective gear.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Protective equipment/clothing is required by environment or regulations.
• Adheres to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Physical requirements include standing long periods and lifting up to 80% of the time (up to 35 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide high satisfaction for patients, family, physicians, team members and the public.
• Responsible for timely, accurate, and courteous service.
• Maintain sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety.
• Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment.
