Job summary

Lawrence Hall, a Chicago-based nonprofit, seeks a Residential Program Supervisor (Evenings) to lead and oversee our 24-hour Child & Family Treatment Center (CFTC) residential program for youth ages 8-18. You will supervise direct care staff, ensure safety and structure, and respond to emergencies with trauma-informed strategies.

The role emphasizes calm leadership, crisis management, and a commitment to youth healing and growth in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related experience in human services, social services, behavioral health, education, or a related field; OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of related human services experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and drug screening.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support Youth Treatment Specialists to ensure high-quality care and adherence to program expectations.
• Maintain safety, staffing coverage, schedules, and daily residential operations during evening shifts.
• Respond to behavioral incidents and crisis situations using trauma-informed de-escalation techniques and intervention strategies.
• Complete required documentation, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and timely.
• Coordinate youth transportation, medical appointments, emergency responses, and other operational needs.
• Collaborate with clinical, educational, and residential teams to support treatment goals and positive youth outcomes.
