Job summary

Lawrence Hall in Chicago seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide individual, family, and group therapy to youth and families within the Child and Family Treatment Center. You will assess, treat, plan, and monitor progress while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed approaches, documentation, and participation in on-call coverage, with a focus on improving client outcomes and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) upon hire.
• Ability to obtain LCSW or LCPC licensure upon eligibility.
• Knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and behavioral health services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, community partners, and treatment team members.
• Valid Illinois driver's license.
• Personal vehicle or access to reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
• No history of child abuse or neglect.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to youth and families.
• Complete assessments and develop treatment plans; monitor progress and support discharge planning.
• Collaborate with treatment teams, caregivers, and community partners to coordinate care.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation per Medicaid, licensing, and agency standards.
• Provide crisis intervention services and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, clinical consultations, hospitalizations, and quality initiatives.
