Job summary

Conifer Health, part of the Tenet family, seeks a Patient Access representative for Shelby Medical Center to perform registration, scheduling, and pre-admission duties at the point of service.

You will collect complete demographic information, educate patients on financial liabilities, secure insurance verification, and support admissions and post-discharge coordination in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year in a Customer Service role.
• 0–1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred
• Some college coursework is preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients following Conifer Standards of Care and complete full patient registration at date of service.
• Educate patients about financial liabilities and collect payments per policy.
• Secure insurance verification and assist with scheduling and post-discharge coordination as needed.
