Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Experience: 1-3 years clerical experience preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient entrance into Mercy facilities, including scheduling and registration.
• Perform benefit verification, pre-certification and financial clearance work.
• Ensure accurate patient data is collected and entered into the system.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and insurance companies.
