Job summary

Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI) is seeking a part-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist (Youth Residential Mentor) for the Coventry House program in Coventry, RI. The position supports youth reintegration and provides direct care in a residential setting with a 32-hour workweek.

The role requires a High School Diploma with related experience or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Schedule is Friday–Monday 3:00pm–11:00pm, with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
• Bachelor's degree plus one year experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Experience with Youth Population Preferred
• Able to arrive 15 minutes before shift for shift change, may also be required to stay later
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a residential setting
• Develop and implement individualized plans for each resident, in collaboration with other team members
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to residents throughout their stay
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of resident progress and behavior
• Ensure that all residents receive the necessary support and resources to successfully reintegrate into their communities
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift
• Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches as assigned and document results
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results
• Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm and document results
• Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle
• Conduct monthly emergency drills
• Secure urines from same‑sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation
• Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility
• Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned
• Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility
• Monitor clients self‑administration of medication
