Job summary

Community Solutions in Coventry, RI is seeking a Residential Re-entry Specialist / Youth Residential Mentor for a part-time role with benefits. You will provide direct care and supervision to youth residents, create individualized plans, monitor progress, and help residents reintegrate into the community.

The schedule is Friday–Monday, 11:00pm to 7:00am, with a starting hourly wage of approximately $19.98 plus a third-shift differential.

Qualifications

High school diploma plus 4 years of experience in the social services or criminal justice field.
Bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in the social services or criminal justice field preferred; education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one-year-for-one-year basis.
Experience with youth population preferred.
Arrive 15 minutes before shift for shift change; may be asked to stay later.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a residential setting.
Develop and implement individualized plans for each resident in collaboration with other team members.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to residents throughout their stay.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and behavior.
Ensure that all residents receive the necessary support and resources to successfully reintegrate into their communities.
Conduct employment, job search, and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches as assigned and document results.
Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm and document results.
Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle.
Conduct monthly emergency drills.
Secure urines from same‑sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift; facilitate client orientation as assigned.
Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
Monitor clients’ self‑administration of medication.
