Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Wellness Nurse to support resident health through ongoing clinical monitoring and coordination with community nurses and staff. This full-time role, scheduled 2pm–10pm, emphasizes regulatory compliance, teamwork, and a warm, encouraging approach to resident care.

The Wellness Nurse will assist with admissions, ensure care per plans, administer medications, coordinate with physicians and outside providers, document observations, and stay current on

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN).
• Three (3) years of experience in assessment and geriatric nursing preferred.
• A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our residents.
• Working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures, dictated for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordination of the resident admission process including screening, assessment, and care needs
• Ensure care is delivered as indicated in resident care plans
• Medication and treatment administration and ensure medications are administered per physicians’ orders
• Assistance with coordinating care and services with other outside providers including resident physicians
• Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes
• Maintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures
