Job summary

Missouri Botanical Garden’s Butterfly House is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Associate to welcome guests, admit them, sell admission tickets, and provide information in person and by phone, contributing to a positive visitor experience. The role involves cash handling with a POS or web orders, coordinating with staff on events, and supporting the cafe and ticketing processes.

Evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ visitor/customer service experience preferred.
• Retail or related work environment experience preferred; cash handling and credit card transactions
• Ability to provide guest service in a fast-paced public attraction with urgency and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with the public.
• Scheduling flexibility with most weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, admit, and direct guests to ensure a positive visitor experience.
• Process ticket purchases using POS or web orders.
• Coordinate information with staff on events and group visits.
• Promote and process sales for cafe, butterfly releases, and seed packets.
• Support restocking of the cafe and assist with ticket refunds/exchanges.
