Job summary

Cobb County Government is seeking a front desk support staff member for the South Cobb Recreation Center in Austell, GA. The role centers on delivering friendly information and assistance to visitors, handling registrations, and assisting with daily center operations.

Shifts primarily occur at night and on weekends, with duties including opening/closing the facility, basic setup/cleanup, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; plus one year of work experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in non-measurable situations.
• Some tasks require perception of colors, sounds, tastes, odors, textures and signals.

Responsibilities

• Provides information or assistance regarding services, activities, forms, procedures, fees or other issues by phone and in person.
• Processes participant registrations, court reservations, tournament registrations and other scheduled services; collects fees and updates records.
• Prepares facilities according to daily schedule: opens/closes, unlocks/locks, lights on/off, disarms alarms, sets up and tears down furniture, and performs routine cleaning.
• Maintains attendance and punctuality within customary tolerances.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
