Job summary

British Swim School is seeking a confident, friendly and dependable Manager on Duty to lead our Delafield location during busy evening and weekend swim lessons. This role goes beyond desk work; you’ll be on the pool deck engaging families, supporting instructors, solving problems and ensuring every swimmer has an excellent experience from check-in.

You don’t need an aquatics background—we can teach the swim program.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or management roles.
• Ability to lead a team and coach younger employees.
• Comfortable speaking with families and handling concerns.

Responsibilities

• Welcome families and provide outstanding customer service.
• Answer questions and help resolve parent concerns.
• Supervise and support swim instructors and deck staff.
• Coach employees and provide feedback in the moment.
• Make sure lessons run smoothly and on time.
• Help manage call-offs and staffing issues.
• Assist families with questions about classes, levels and swimmer progress.
• Monitor the pool deck and overall customer experience.
• Complete facility, water temperature and water chemistry checks.
• Respond calmly and appropriately when problems arise.
• Communicate issues and follow-up needs to leadership.
• Keep Delafield location organized, professional, welcoming and FUN.
