Job summary

The Courtyard Rochester Downtown, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is seeking a DRIVEN PM Server for evenings. You will work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are delivered promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, recommending menu items, using the POS system, serving courses, and maintaining a clean dining area. This is a part-time position requiring evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or hotel setting.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service and preparation.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take their orders in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions guests may have
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner
• Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including resetting tables and ensuring proper sanitation procedures are followed
• Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
