Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics and the Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center seek a dedicated Patient Service Representative to join the Paoli Urgent Care team. You will handle front-desk tasks, greet patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and maintain EMR documentation in a patient-centered environment.

The role is part-time with weeknight and weekend hours, offering benefits and opportunities for growth within a regional orthopaedics network.

Qualifications

• Front office and patient-facing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical forms is desirable.
• Ability to balance cash drawer and collect payments with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients promptly; notify staff of arrival.
• Answer incoming calls and relay messages as needed.
• Assist patients with medical history forms and data collection.
• Collect demographic, insurance info and required authorizations.
• Collect co-pays and explain financial responsibilities to patients.
• Verify insurance and notify issues to relevant parties.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals.
• Scan patient information and maintain EMR documentation.
• Prepare charts for the next day’s schedule.
• Maintain a secure cash drawer and daily balance.
• Uphold HIPAA confidentiality and front office SOPs.
• Keep front office organized and professional.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
