Job summary

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking Student Mentors for the CILLS program to provide support and learning experiences to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Mentors will work 10-20 hours per week with day/evening shifts and Saturdays.

Compensation is $10.00 per hour. Responsibilities include assisting with socialization, academics, daily living skills, chores, cooking, attending campus events, completing homework, and studying.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Reliable and flexible with evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and learning experiences to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Assist from 4:00PM-9:00PM on weekdays with socialization, academics, and daily living skills.
• Assist from 11:00AM-4:00PM or 4:00PM-9:00PM on weekends with socialization, academics, and daily living skills.
• Help students make good and healthy decisions.
• Report incidents to CILLS staff.
• Document shift activities.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing during the shift.
