Job summary

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking Peer Mentors for the 2026-2027 academic year. Mentors support roughly 50+ new ESU undergraduates in their first year, starting during Warrior Welcome Weekend and continuing throughout the year.

The role offers up to 10 hours per week and pays $13.00 per hour, including training. Mentors serve as guides and role models, helping mentees adjust to campus life and succeed academically and socially.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have English literacy skills.
• Experience or interest in mentoring/leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide ~50+ new ESU undergraduates during their first year.
• Support students academically, socially, and personally.
• Participate in Warrior Welcome Weekend and ongoing mentoring activities.
• Schedule and document weekly group meetings and track mentee progress.
• Maintain regular mentor hours and report to Program Director.
