Job summary

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania invites applications for the Clear Path Chemistry & Biochemistry Student Worker position. This NSF-funded program supports ClearPath Scholars and requires current ESU students in science, technology, and mathematics.

You will travel to partner community colleges, connect with scholars, attend campus events, and help with tutoring sessions and regular training. The role is on campus and part-time, paying $10 per hour for up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current ESU Student.
• Such students must demonstrate exceptional knowledge in the field in which they are tutoring.
• All students need to be able to demonstrate targeted skills sets and knowledge requisite for successfully accomplishing the task.

Responsibilities

• Will be expected to travel to the partner community colleges at least once each semester to meet with their ClearPath Scholar.
• Reach out in other manners to connect with the student throughout the semester.
• On the ClearPath Scholars come to campus, the Mentors will be expected to attend ClearPath events and meet regularly with the ClearPath scholar.
• Attend regular training sessions will occur.
• Upper-level Tutors will be expected to establish tutoring times to meet with ClearPath scholars for the purpose of tutoring.
