Job summary

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison in Madison, WI seeks a House Supervisor to oversee guest services, volunteers, and daily operations for an inviting home-away-from-home environment. The role is hourly and part-time, requiring occasional shifts including nights and weekends.

The House Supervisor reports to the Senior Director of Family Experience and helps maintain safety and comfort for families during their stay.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate RMHC’s mission and impact to families and staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with volunteers, donors, and guests.
• Excellent attention to detail in guest records, occupancy, and safety policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for daily operations and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally if needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and register all guests in accordance with Admissions Policy.
• Uphold and enforce all House Rules and Policies.
• Maintain list of anticipated arrivals; schedule occupancy and arrange rooms.
• Supervise volunteers and provide them with a rewarding experience.
• Communicate clearly with staff, volunteers, and families.
• Close office at 9:00 pm, open at 9:00 am on weekends.
• Maintain records pertaining to guests, occupancy, inventory, and supplies.
• Provide a compassionate, confidential environment with professional boundaries.
• Monitor building conditions and coordinate repairs with the Maintenance Specialist.
• Enter House Guest information into the database accurately.
• Direct evacuation or shelter plans during emergencies.
• Communicate status to day and overnight staff; attend information sessions.
• Conduct tours of the House as needed.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Senior Director of Family Experience.
