Job summary

DCCCA Day Reporting Ctr is seeking a full-time case aide to support children and families during the referral period. You will work closely with the case manager, deliver strengths-based, culturally competent services, and ensure timely contact and assessments in line with program procedures.

You will meet families in the home, coordinate resources, document activity, and attend conferences or court when required to support timely service delivery. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two years relevant experience in behavioral health or children/family services.
• Personal experience with addictions treatment or child welfare preferred.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides for the safety, stability and well-being of children and families during the referral period.
• Delivers culturally competent services using a strengths-based approach to children and families consistent with the evidence-based practice models.
• Meets DCF timelines to connect with the family within 24 hours of referral; facilitate initial family meeting within 48 hours; complete assessment-based case plan within 20 days; case closure within 3-6 months.
• Engages and works in partnership with the case manager and families to complete assessments.
• Meets with family in the home weekly to monitor progress and assess child safety.
• Acts as a liaison with schools to obtain child records, attend conferences, and track attendance.
