Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a kitchen/prep cook to prepare menu items, monitor food costs, and maintain a clean kitchen. You will support the Kitchen Manager and work to ensure guest satisfaction and high quality meals.

Responsibilities include following recipes, portioning accurately, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health and safety standards while assisting teammates and front-of-house staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught through in house training.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cooking items according to recipes and standards.
• Reports to work well-groomed in clean uniform and maintains personal hygiene.
• Uses, maintains and cleans kitchen equipment, prep areas, and storage areas.
• Stocks and rotates products to meet shelf life standards.
• Ensures correct portioning and cooking times per recipes.
• Preps items according to guest requests within company standards and food safety procedures.
• Follows FIFO when preparing items.
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, and storage areas.
• Follows safety procedures for food handling, rotation and storage.
• Communicates with Manager on Duty and teammates about issues and improvements.
