Animal Hospital of Signal Mountain in Signal Mountain, TN seeks an experienced 2nd shift receptionist to join our growing five-doctor GP practice. The role emphasizes client service, high-volume phone handling, and precise documentation.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in a small animal setting, 1–2 years in urgent/ER care, and strong computer skills (Outlook/Word/Excel/Teams). Availability for 11:00 am–8:30 pm shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in a small animal GP setting.
• 1–2 years of experience in an Urgent Care / Emergency room setting.
• Windows product knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle high-volume phones.
• Able to stay calm in stressful conversations (costs, medical needs).
• Must be able to work 2nd shift (11:00 am–8:30 pm).
• Full-time — 4 nights/week with 2 Saturdays a month, or 5 nights/week with no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and answer high-volume phone lines.
• Schedule appointments and manage client communications.
• Maintain accurate client/patient records with attention to detail.
• Support the veterinary team with documentation and coordination.
