Job summary

Animal Hospital of Signal Mountain is seeking an experienced 2nd-shift receptionist to join a five-doctor GP practice offering boarding, grooming, and retail products. You will handle high-volume calls, patient check-ins, and client communications while maintaining accurate medical documentation.

The role requires 4–6 years in a small animal practice and 1–2 years in urgent care, with strong computer skills in Outlook/Word/Excel/Teams.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in a small animal general practice setting
• 1–2 years of experience in an Urgent Care / Emergency room setting
• Windows product knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) is a quick study
• Excellent communication and written skills, as well as customer relations skills
• Strong knowledge base of medical documentation, and education
• Strong time management and organization, able to multitask and answer high-volume phones
• Able to multitask and maintain a calm environment
• Be a self-starter and self-motivated
• Be able to think on your feet and work well unsupervised
