Pet Specialists of Austin, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking a Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our front desk team in Austin, TX. This role offers an evening-full-time shift at a busy, 24-hour emergency and specialty referral hospital.

You will manage phones, appointments, client communications, and payments while ensuring a welcoming, efficient client experience for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital, animal hospital, or related client service setting.
• Strong customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Comfortable answering multi-line phones, scheduling and checking clients in/out, and processing payments.
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and practice management software preferred.
• Positive, patient, and professional approach when supporting clients, pets, and team members.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
• Self-motivated team player with strong accountability and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by attentively addressing the needs of clients and their pets.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments and specialty procedures, set reminders, manage patient and client flow, check patients in and out, and address basic client concerns.
• Facilitate clear communication between clients and the medical team as needed.
• Accurately enter and maintain client and patient information in the computer system, ensuring medical records are up to date.
• Process client payments and invoices, and follow up on outstanding or missing payments.
• Maintain a clean and organized lobby, waiting area, and workspace.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
