Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (AVES) is seeking a Client Service Representative to support our emergency, critical care and specialty departments. You will welcome and assist our guests while handling phone and in-person interactions.

Responsibilities include educating clients, coordinating appointments, following up with patients, maintaining records, and overseeing payments with accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of customer service experience in a medical setting.
• Veterinary experience is preferred.
• Solid employment history with proven reliability.
• Ability to work independently while being self-driven and eager to grow.
• Proactive mindset with focus on process improvements and collaboration to streamline operations.
• Fluent English (speaking & reading) required; multilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Educate and Support: Inform clients and referring veterinarians about our comprehensive services and provide compassionate support over the phone and in person.
• Appointment Coordination: Assist clients in scheduling appointments at our multi‑specialist hospital, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
• Communication Mastery: Handle reminder and follow‑up communications with finesse, utilizing both phone and email to keep clients informed and engaged.
• Record Keeping: Accurately update and maintain client/pet records and files, ensuring a meticulous approach to detail.
• Financial Transactions Oversight: Accurately and efficiently handle payment processing and reconciliation.
