• Manages supplies and equipment and communicates needs with operations.
• Ability to cover evening shifts and adapt to unit demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the activities of the nursing staff, patient, physician and other hospital departments and visitors.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Prints, reviews and inquires about unit reports; files reports in patient charts.
• Maintains bed track and PCS systems; books appointments through central scheduling; ensures timely discharge paperwork.
• Orders supplies with Stores/Operations; collaborates to maintain par levels and vendor orders.
• Fosters a Culture of Safety and complies with hospital policies and infection control.
• Prepares as a preceptor for new employees and supports unit workflow.
• Maintains compliance with legal, regulatory, and privacy requirements.
