Job summary

Hunterdon Health in Flemington, NJ seeks a Unit Coordinator to welcome and assist patients, families, visitors and physicians. This role performs all clerical and reception duties for the unit and supports the Nurse Director and the hospital's mission.

The position is part-time with Sunday through Saturday 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shifts, including alternating weekends and holidays. Hiring range is $20.00–$25.00 hourly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of clerical work in a clinical setting.
• CPR certification required or must obtain within 6 months; CPI training renewals annually.
• Proficient in computer, communication and customer service; able to multitask and work under stress.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interdepartmental communication and provide information to patients and families.
• Coordinate clerical activities of the nursing unit.
• Support professional development and the Nurse Director.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain Patient Safety (Patient Safety Assistant).
