Job summary

University of Southern California Transportation is seeking a Dispatcher to support the day-to-day operations by scheduling drivers, vehicles, and service routes on a Monday–Friday evening schedule.

This role serves as a liaison between passengers and drivers, monitors assignments, handles service disruptions, and maintains safety records. A California Class-B license with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; combined education/experience acceptable.
• 2 years experience in bus driving and customer service with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must possess valid California Class-B driver’s license with passenger endorsement and clean driving record in last 3 years.
• Drug screening required prior to employment and airbrake certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers, equipment, and service vehicles.
• Serve as liaison between passengers and drivers; ensure reliable transportation services.
• Monitor vehicle assignments and respond to service disruptions; assist with fleet and driver check-in.
• Maintain accurate safety and operational records; provide customer service as needed.
