Food Lion in Forest City, NC is seeking a Department Manager to oversee evening store operations, lead hiring and training, and ensure high standards of service, merchandising, and safety.

You will coach and develop associates, manage performance, schedule across departments, and ensure compliance with safety and food safety guidelines while using tools like ACIS and CAO to support financial results.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to lead and manage associates across departments.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Accredited as a 'Certified Food Safety Manager' or able to achieve accreditation within 90 days of employment; must be maintained.
• Must meet physical requirements to perform the job.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of the entire store.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast and easy customer service.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote Food Lion's Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Ensure proper control of all store funds and company assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
• Observe and ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies, security, safety, and food safety standards.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
• Support the achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maximize sales through excellent customer service and minimize shrink through proper inventory and cash controls.
• Ensure store conditions, customer service and satisfaction, product quality, freshness, availability, variety and execution of all policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Ensure staffing schedules meet business needs across departments.
