Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support decontamination, inspection, sterilization and storage of instruments in a high-volume hospital setting. The role operates on an evening shift with 40 hours per week and a favorable schedule within Central Massachusetts.

The position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus, with compensation aligned to full-time hours and a pay range that reflects experience and internal equity.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination: Collects, receives and records soiled instruments/equipment/devices for decontamination process per policy.
• Inspection/Assembly: Inspects cleanliness, assembles and records instruments/equipment per procedure.
• Sterilization/HLD: Records and routes instruments for sterilization or high-level disinfection; monitors safety/testing.
• Sterile Storage: Ensures proper inventory and distribution of instruments and supplies.
