Job summary

UMass Memorial Health - Milford Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to assemble, clean, sterilize and store instruments and kits in support of patient care. You will ensure adherence to policies and maintain accurate records for sterilized equipment and testing.

The role requires completing a Sterile Processing training and certification maintenance. Responsibilities include tracking par levels, restocking carts, coordinating with Biomedical, and ordering

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Sterile Processing training course.
• Certification by a Sterile Processing Association and maintenance of recertification with 12 education credits annually.

Responsibilities

• Assembles properly inspected, processed surgical instruments, carts, and equipment per kit lists.
• Ensures all items are cleaned, sterilized, and stored according to policies and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilized equipment and biological testing.
• Check and restock par level and code carts; monitor for outdated supplies.
• Receive, store, and distribute supplies; coordinate equipment checks with Biomedical.

Education

Sterile Processing training course

Certification by a Sterile Processing Association and 12 education credits annually
