Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Tucker, GA is seeking a Problem Resolution Specimen Technician for a Tuesday–Saturday shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The role focuses on identifying and solving issues in specimen processing and testing, collaborating with Specimen Processing, Referral Testing, and Technical departments to expedite testing and reporting.

You will interpret specimen tracking data, ensure correct TIQs/TNPs, handle mislabeled samples, and communicate with internal teams to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret specimen tracking data and use MS Office.
• Proven problem-solving abilities in a clinical lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Primary point-of-contact for resolution of common specimen problems and communication with internal departments to avoid testing delays and/or service failures.
• May be responsible for calling clients to obtain resolution of problems.
• Demonstrates competency of job duties and SOPs related to Specimen Processing problem resolution.
• Demonstrates ability to interpret specimen tracking data utilizing all available resources.
