Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration is seeking a Shuttle Driver to operate an accessible shuttle van for Cambridge/Allston campuses. You will handle on-demand requests, communicate with dispatch, assist passengers with mobility needs, and maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, six years driving experience preferred, and ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three to five years of passenger transport experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer-focused team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttle van to meet scheduled and on-demand pickups.
• Communicate with dispatcher via two-way radio for route changes.
• Assist passengers with mobility impairments entering and exiting.
• Perform daily safety inspection and vehicle condition reporting.
• Clean vehicle interior and refuel as needed.
• Use on-demand technology to provide safe ride services at night.
• May perform occasional parcel delivery and participate in planning team.
