Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Shuttle Driver for a one-year term in Cambridge/Boston area. You will operate a shuttle van, respond to online ride requests, assist passengers with mobility needs, and work with the dispatcher to follow routes and changes.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Massachusetts driver's license, plus ability to work outdoors in all weather. Prior passenger transport experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates shuttle van to meet scheduled and on-demand passenger pick-up requests.
• Communicates on two-way radio with dispatcher to receive instructions and confirm changes, additions, or deletions from route schedule.
• Assists passengers with mobility impairments both entering and exiting.
• Performs daily safety inspection of vehicle and equipment and completes vehicle condition report.
• Cleans vehicle interior daily and refuels as needed.
• Uses on-demand electronic technology to provide safe ride services at night.
• May perform occasional parcel delivery as required.
• Participates as a member of the Passenger Transport Services Planning Team.
