Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Cincinnati is hiring a Nighttime Team Member (shifts after 4pm) for part-time work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Earn between $13.75 and $14.25 per hour plus digital tips. You’ll work evening/night shifts, provide friendly, efficient service, help prepare sandwiches and desserts, and keep the cafe clean and inviting for guests.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset for a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in a bustling kitchen; knife skills are a plus.
• Able to manage allergens (peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish).
• Team player.
• Able to stand/walk a minimum of 3 hours; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Illinois applicants must become food safety certified within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.).
• If 18 or older, use of the automatic slicer to prep food items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register; handle, balance and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
• Takes delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
