Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is hiring a Part Time Team Member in Florence, KY. You will join a fast-paced, friendly environment and help provide an outstanding customer experience while preparing quality menu items and handling cash transactions.

Starting pay ranges from $13.75 to $14.25 per hour plus digital tips. Benefits include medical, dental & vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, flexible schedule, commuter benefits, and more.

Qualifications

• You are at least 16 years of age.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a bustling kitchen environment.
• Able to manage potential allergens (peanuts, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish).
• Team player and able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream) efficiently.
• If 18 or older, use the automatic slicer to prep food items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register: handle, balance and follow cash handling procedures.
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
